I believe the best stories unfold slowly.

I'm Deb - Australian photographer, writer & slow traveller.

I focus on slow travel experiences, exploring unique travel destinations by bike and on foot.

In a world obsessed with speed, I’ve chosen to go the other way. Whether I’m cycling in Newcastle showcasing cityscapes through my urban street photography, trekking the Simpson Desert alongside camels capturing desert landscapes, or cycling South East Asia to document the people and places I discover along the way - slow travel gives me a unique opportunity to experience the world on two wheels and embrace outdoor adventure at a gentle pace.

My portfolio showcases the four core themes of my photography practice - In Transit, The Everyday Observed, Shelter, and Transient Terrains.  If you prefer to immerse yourself in short stories, field notes is where you'll find my library of articles on all things slow travel, photography, cycling and hiking.

I hope you enjoy sifting through the moments I've captured as much as I've enjoyed experiencing them.
